Black bear hunting over bait takes
place in the afternoons. Tree
stands and ground blinds are preset. The day will start out with the
main meal of
the day around noon. After lunch, we will get ready and head to the
woods. I will bring you and the other hunters to their bait
sites. If all goes well, a bear will make
his way in before night falls. Control your nerves and make the shot!
After dark, I will pick up
hunters and bears and go back to the lodge for supper and weighing
in.
Bring
a scoped rifle .30 caliber or greater for low light conditions. I
prefer .35 or .45 caliber. Sight in at 25 yards dead on. Remember your
flashlight.
